Challenge Days
Visit the Challenge campus during Challenge Discovery Days. Tours will take place Wednesdays, Nov. 19, Dec. 3, 10, 2008 at 2:00 pm, Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008 at 2:00 pm and Fridays Nov. 14, 21, Dec. 5, 12, 2008 at 11:00 am. Saturdays, Dec. 6, 13, 2008 at 10:00 am. ALL STUDENTS APPLYING MUST ATTEND A CAMPUS TOUR.
Shadowing:
Shadowing sessions are from 8 am to 10 am or 10 am to 12 pm. A maximum of 8 students may shadow during each session. Shadowing dates are as follows, Friday, Nov. 14, 21, Dec. 5, 12, 2008. Shadowing is on a first come, first serve basis. An excuse will be provided for attendance verification at your current school. Please call 713-664-9712 to schedule an appointment.

Applications must be postmarked no later than, Friday, Jan. 9, 2009.
Applications received after the due date will be placed directly on the wait list by date received.
Notification of Status:
Letters will be mailed March 27, 2009. Please notify CECHS of intent by April 7, 2009. Every student who applies will be notified of their acceptance, non-acceptance or wait list status.
Required Documentation
- Completed application (all sections)
- Copy of fall semester report card for current year.
- Copy of TAKS and Stanford scores for the 7th grade year.
- If applicable: Copy of Gifted/Talented, At-Risk, Economic Disadvantage documentation, Individual Education Plan (IEP) or 504 information.
- Current health record.
- Copy of Permanent Record Card (final transcript from departing school) and the end of the year report card.
- Academic Reference Form given to an academic teacher. The form must be returned by January 9, 2009.
CECHS will accept a new freshman class. Due to curriculum restraints, CECHS does not accept sophomores, juniors or seniors into the program.
