Virtual TI-83 Calculator
Instructions on how to download and use the TI-83 Plus Flash Debugger, which acts as a virtual calculator on your Windows computer:
- Close all other programs. When you run the installation program, it will require you to restart your computer. Might as well close everything now so you don't lose any unsaved stuff.
- Click on this link.
- Save the file to your disk.
- Double click (or "run") the downloaded file, named "83psdk_setup.exe".
- Accept the legal jargon, and keep clicking on "Next" until the program installs.
- Let the program restart your computer. When you restart, there is an icon named "TI-83 Plus Flash Debugger" on your desktop. Double-click that icon.
- When you get a blankish looking screen, select File/New (or click the far left icon).
- Double-click TI-83 Plus or TI-83 Plus Silver Edition
- Choose Debug/Go, or type the "F5" button, or click on the little triangle icon under where it says "View". Any of those will work.
- Start using the calculator. If the screen occasionally goes blank, it means you haven't used it in a couple of minutes and it has turned itself off. Simply turn it back on again (lower left button).
- When you close it, it will ask you if you want to save any changes. I never do.
This should work. Email me if it doesn't.
